I also want to say that I am extremely lucky, as are my daughters. None of us have suffered in the way that so many women have.

With one child to raise I decided a man was the last thing I needed in my life. My 'child' is now 28 and I still am happy without a man.

I really admire anyone who can decide to protect herself by being celibate.

My son and I both have NF1. When one has a genetic disorder it is easier to live a celibate. But thanks for the thumbs up. I still remember your kindness a while back when you gave me a heart at the old DU.
