Seriously. We aren't trying for "Senator Brown: the remix". My God, I bet his offices aren't even cleaned out yet.
Is this some kind of ruse?

(60,536 posts)President, based on White House sources, is seriously considering offering Senator Kerry the position.

(10,942 posts)I really wish the President and the people advising him would consider the democratic voters in Massachusetts, of which I am one. Taking Kerry out of the Senate will throw us into the fourth expensive, tough election in 2 years (Kennedy replacement, 2010 Gubernatorial, 2012 Senate). I am at the breaking point. All three previous elections were expensive and divisive, I am under no allusion that a Kerry replacement election will be different. Leave us alone, we have been through enough, let us get back to regular elections.

(10,291 posts)Because I am sure the president knows this. I am sure his people know this.
There seem to be so many other people qualified. All I am saying is this seems hinky.

(7,820 posts)I really hope the President looks elsewhere for Cabinet members. Taking Kerry out of the Senate, risking losing a safe seat, doesn't make sense to me. It does seem to be the rumour, and not just here, but I hope it's wrong.

A Democrat would win Kerry's seat. Period.
