Right-Wing Think Tank's Climate 'Battle Plan' Wages 'War Against Our Children's Future'

The Heritage Foundation's Mandate for Leadership would serve as a policy blueprint for the first 180 days if Trump—or another Republican—were to gain control of the White House in January 2025.

Close down the Department of Energy's renewable energy office. Cut cash flow to the Environmental Protection Agency's office of environmental justice. Stop the nation's electrical grid from expanding to include wind and solar. These are all items on a right-wing think tank's to-do list for the next Republican presidency.

The Heritage Foundation's 2025 Presidential Transition Project released the ninth edition of Mandate for Leadership: The Conservative Promise in April, and that mandate includes significant rollbacks to federal efforts to tackle the climate emergency, as E&E News reported Wednesday.

"Make no mistake: this is a battle plan," End Climate Silence founding director Genevieve Guenther tweeted in response to the news. "The war being waged is against our children's future."

( They have children and grandchildren, but clearly that means nothing to them. )

The authors of this "study" need to die in a Category 6 hurricane.

Think. Again.

...the U.S. is in an abusive relationship.

Democrats and non-political citizens are in a marriage with a malicious partner who lies, cheats, and gaslights us to get their seflish and sadistic way.

They are sadistic. Their intent is to harm us.

Their (obvious) lies about sincerely trying to do what's best for the country are just that, lies to enable their malicious fetishes.

Which makes them think their children and grandchildren will be safe.

Former CIA chief Frank Carlucci invested in floating castle-condos to survive the collapse.

quarterly earnings are more important than their children's future & for the base, owning the libs is more important. I've been depressed for a long time about the environment, but this week is a whole other level of desperation. It's hard to see a way out, to think that we haven't passed a point of no return.

The signs of global warming are all around us. It is obvious to anyone with a brain. But yet the Right mocks the whole idea of climate change and insists that we keep using fossil fuels and no other alternative. It is madness! We are almost at the point of no return but yet little is being done because of GOP stupidity. I can't begin to tell you how much this pisses me off! But I feel helpless.

He wanted to be remembered as "the education president". There were some altruistic initiatives, however diluted by overall funding cuts. He expanded asylum policies but again, the "thousand points of light" shed all "okay, now what" responsibility onto already threadbare organizations.

I was so depressed Dukakis devastatingly lost after 8 gut wrenchingly idiotic hero-worship while struggling to eat chili dogs my student years under the "the gipper". I gave GHB credit for at least trying to be somewhat altruistic. Just a glimmer of hope in such wild economic disparity widening.

GOP has completely abandoned common all sense since while convincing their idiotic rubes that "Democrats are destroying the country." Hold my beer.
Beam us up Jordy, before more of our homes burn down.
Fuck my mild dementia leaves me confused sometimes but Jeebus Christ Crunch Cereal these efforts should be so obviously machiavellian
