Dear President Obama, Please do not sit down with Romney

Respectfully, after Romney's horrendously racist summation to his donors, as to why he thinks he lost, sitting down and speaking with him would be slap in the face to those who voted for you.

Mr. Romney has forfeited any right to have any input at all. Perhaps you and your team think it's good politics and a good optic to have Mr. Romney to the White House. I don't believe that's so. It legitimizes the racist and classicist tripe that both Mr. Romney and Representative Ryan are spreading.

Sincerely,

a supporter.

Romney lost because he was a flip flopping, pandering, compulsive liar that could not be trusted by even his own party. He got fewer votes than McCain. And with all the faults that Romney claims Obama has, he still won.

Yes, Obama won because he did what people wanted. How terrible! At least Romney knows that the way to get ahead in politics is to not do what people want. He sure showed them.

So tell me why I should give a half a shit about anything you and your hateful, knuckledragging, pathetic excuse of a political party think. Can't think of a reason? Bye, then. Thanks for dropping by."

I would actually be pretty surprised if Romney wanted to visit with the Prez even if invited. Doing so would put Romney on a lesser footing - he'd be invited to the White House, which Obama still inhabits (and Romney doesn't). It would rankle terribly, and I bet Romney couldn't stand to do it. If Obama invites him and he refuses, which I kind of expect might happen, Romney would look like a resentful ass. Which he is.

Mitt Romney was the Republican nominee and a former Governor. He has through his campaign said many things and perhaps some of those might be beneficial to the nation. I see nothing wrong with being courteous and talking with the man. I personally don't care for him nor what I heard from him in the campaign, but being civil and perhaps finding one good idea would be worthwhile.

McCain had in theory political sway in the government but his own party doesn't even like Romney. Romney could walk out of a meeting agreeing to everything Obama said and so what is Boehner going to listen to Romney? Is FOX news going to fall in line with Romney? Last point on this: meeting with McCain was a waste of time because it turns out even he had little sway and helped not at all the next 4 years. 4 years later Romney ran saying Obama was a partisan thug... even after being so nice to McCain. So if the other side doesn't even appreciate the token gesture... why bother?

Obama is not talking to Romney. He is talking to those folks who voted for Romney who were on the fence.

Not the crazies. Those people are gone.

But, Fox news has helped many people, some good people, become confused.

Obama can reach out to them, by talking to Romney a little right after the election.

In a few months, Romney is irrelevant. And we should all ignore them.
