Here is a really hysterical video of a little boy totally devastated because Romney lost. It's really not a mean video, it's actually very cute seeing how upset he is and how the mom is trying to console him- and the ending reaction, whether your a Democrat or Republican, is just funny- lol.

(1,933 posts)parents shouldn't have let this little child get so emotionally involved in a political election. He barely understands the issues, I'm sure. So, to him, it was just a popularity contest that his guy lost.

(5,062 posts)Sorry. I don't trust the mother. No kid this age cares a damn about politics. This kid has been watching his family and is upset for them. Mom knows she is on video and is playing the part as the calm fair Romney supporter. Maybe I am just cynical towards any Romney supporter but I think this kid has heard and seen more then the video shows for him to get this upset.Doesn't make sense.Kids this age are not caught up in politics unless their parents get them involved.

(15,859 posts)meanwhile it was she or someone close to her that whipped this poor kid into a frenzy over things he cant possibly comprehend. Now she puts it on the internet and we're supposed to think its funny. Sick, sick, sick.

(10,942 posts)would not have behaved that way. My only hope for the mom is that she has learned and her words in the video truly map what is in her heart.

(15,859 posts)This poor kid is just reflecting an image that was forced onto him. Think about it for a second. Jeebus.

(16,399 posts)I figured I elicit a "oh he's just a kid! This is not how we should reply!" type response.
I'll take the over and say in 15 years he'll probably still be a creep without the excuse of "He's just a child!".

(15,859 posts)Id bet its still his parents fault. This poor kid has little chance of developing his own opinion. I feel sorry for him.

Says volumes about your maturity level. And it's further evidence that extreme partisanship warps brains.

(16,399 posts)I know you've got to get your quota in for the day at tsk tsking Democrats, so have at it, if you wish.
He will continue to remain a dumb little prick as long adults allow him to tantrum instead of educating him. That's how conservatives are created.

Some of our greatest liberals have come from conservative homes.

(16,399 posts)I'm also a liberal, and will stay one, while this kid has a better than 50/50 chance of growing up to be an idiot freeper.
So I win.

(2,566 posts)I was sobbing and crying while watching him on TV as he delivered his resignation speech..."Why don't they just give him another chance?!" <sobs and tears>
No it wasn't because I had any understanding of what was going on or because my parents were big Nixon supporters (Both parents are lifelong Democrats but I had no idea what a Democrat or a Republican was when I was 7). I was upset because I just thought he looked so SAD!

I told her I thought he'd probably be OK, and would find something else fun to do.
So your parents were Dems who supported Nixon? I didn't get into politics until 2000 but I remember pulling off to the side of the road in Phoenix, crying, when I heard on the radio that Pres Kennedy was assassinated.

No kid that young is that involved in politics unless an adult was involved.

(5,815 posts)the first thing they do is whip out the camera/phone and start filming? Then they post it on FB or Youtube.
I agree with some of the others who question why a child of this age is so distraught over the outcome of the election. He is obviously too young to understand a lot of the issues this election was about. He doesn't even understand the fundamentals of our system. (Being of a certain age in order to vote.) What is the point of posting this video other than to get attention. If it really is an attempt at humor, I fail to get it.

(47,608 posts)Why would you video tape a moment like that? And why would you post it on YouTube? It seems rather irresponsible to me.
I recall my kids crying over things they didn't really understand, but I can't imagine recording it, let along sharing it with strangers. Not every moment of every life needs to be recorded for posterity or Facebook or YouTube. What kind of example does that set for the children?
