Trump says he'll not finish building his luxury Scottish golf resort if a wind farm is built nearby!

Is Trump just bluster about wind farm?
January 18, 2012

American billionaire Donald Trump vowed to abandon his $1.2 billion luxury Scottish golf resort if the government allowed a proposed wind farm to be built nearby.

The real-estate mogul believes that if plans for 11 turbines in northeastern Scotland's Aberdeen Bay go ahead, it would spoil the views from his resort, the Trump International Golf Links, which is less than two miles away at Menie Estate, Balmedie.

He told Scottish newspaper The Press and Journal he would not spend "another penny" on the estate until he was certain the offshore renewable energy project would be built elsewhere.

The plans for a clubhouse also were blasted as "gross" and "not worthy of Disneyland" by one of Scotland's best-known architects, Andy MacMillan, in September 2011.

Good! Let Trump lose most of his 1.2 billion dollar investment. Send Trump packing along with his rich friends who planned on using his golf course! BBI

I drove to and from Chicago last weekend and noticed that huge wind farm they have in northwestern Indiana. I thought it was pretty cool.

Of course, I'm not a real estate mogul, so I don't know what they do to property values. But I think they're cool

get a taxpayer bailout. Could it be that this huge Windbag of a man is afraid of being "out-winded" by some wind farm?
You know how competitive he is and how he hates to be bested at anything. God, this man is annoying!

To the prime wind farm location in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom - an old radar station with the roads, etc already in, so the impact to the local enviroment would be minimal.
And I like seeing the windmills, too - sure as hell looks better than a strip mine or fracking wells.
