he may be a little older and really does not understand the ubiquity of cell phones with cameras.

I'm 64, and even though I have a simple cell phone with a camera, I almost never use the camera function and might not think to pull it out to record something. I am reasonably aware that others do that. Once, I made all my nieces and nephews put their cell phones in another room before I would demonstrate to them that I could still do a headstand at my advanced age.

More to the point, what the driver did was wrong, cell phones or no cell phones. m

So if this person walks onto the bus, won't pay the fare and slapped the driver up side the head.... still it's a bit excessive even in that scenario. Driver should have called the bus security team and had them deal with the kid.
