People and workers really need to pay attention. Corporate actuary stats show that workers reach the tipping point of economic viability at 42 years. That means you are no longer an asset in the eyes of most companies the older you get after that age. The new employer meme is that by 45 year old workers need to be economically gassed.
They are too expensive and risky at that age in that they have health problems by then and their families need higher income due to college needs of their kidsand other needs like family health insurance. Long term workers also have vacations, higher salaries, more benefits than new ones. All you have to do is look at how employers treat older long term workers. Then it will be very obvious that 42 and obsolete is really fact.
Look at who is doing the service jobs these days. Chances are that most of the PT workers are over 45 and many are into their 50's. The new economy only has room for cheap younger workers who are being told that they will have ten careers by the time they are 65. The truth is that 8 or 9 out of those 10 will be part time "Walmart" type of work. Look around and check it out. The answer is really obvious.
So many or even most workers will have to fill a gap of over 20 years before they could get Social Security or Mediare. And if the age is raised to 70 or higher then it will be a much larger gap to fill.
Folks we are being gassed by all this rhetoric. And the MSM is trying to influence Obama to accept their lies.

If you're over 50 -- maybe 45 -- it looks grim. Save, baby, save!
