Count Sen. JEFF MERKLEY in the campaign to bring back progressive talk to Portland!

"The airwaves are owned by the American people, and broadcasters should offer diverse programming options. Clear Channel should reconsider its decision and restore KPOJ's progressive talk format."

(via Facebook Save KPOJ community...the petition is at SaveKPOJ.com!)

Wow, this has got to be a first! I don't know if any other Wisconsin elected official like Tammy Baldwin, Herb Kohl, or Russ Feingold ever spoke out to prevent WXXM 92.1 "The Mic" in Madison, Wisconsin from becoming a Fox Sports Radio affiliate.

In the meantime, Seattle's Progressive Talk AM 1090 is set to become a CBS Sports Radio affiliate next year. Let's get one of Washington state's two senators (Maria Cantwell, Patty Murray) or Seattle's current member of the US House (Jim McDermott) to speak out against the change.
