What drug is lindsey taking?? This mf-er is trying to ban reproductive care NATIONWIDE. He meddled and tried to overturn Georgia's election in 2020. His party is banning books, banning history, banning gender studies, banning gays, banning drag, banning trans, banning immigrants, fighting Disney, disenfranchising young voters, disenfranchising black voters.... and he has the audacity to gaslight like this? What the hell is wrong with him?

Not a bad name for a dive bar house band.

(8,812 posts)Been a part of those bands before. Dive bars paid for strings and gave us beers. Guns and beer were issues way back then too.
Las Vegas Lounge, Kannapolis, N.C. Desperate gigs, but if ya played Wipe Out or Free bird they wouldnt shoot you.

(6,728 posts)Ours were 'Louie, Louie' and 'Gloria'. We had exactly one paying gig. Never got asked back. Can't imagine why.

(8,812 posts)Dare you to tell me the lyrics to Loui Loui.
Saw the newest version of the Kingmen on a PBS fund raising show recently. Still had no idea what the lyrics were, even trying to read the lips.
The Mystery of our generation. I think Wipe Out is right there with Loui Loui during the same period. With as much meaningful lyrics.

(6,728 posts)..on the sheet music said "I smelled the roses in her hair".
But our sophomoric minds were sure the record said "I felt my b*ne down in her hair". That's not why we didn't get a return gig. In retrospect...we really sucked. Our drummer was dyslexic and I was tone deaf. Our singer never reached puberty. Still hasn't. He's 72.

In our minds, we were Rock stars.
We actually played on the Jimmy Kilgo show.
Famous as hell, right? My big brother did however, and his band Hot Smokin Brass, was Jacki Wilsons band for a few years.
I was in the Navy while he was in the big time.
Now I play to my dogs on the porch. They love it, love to scrunch up beside my guitar to feel the vibrations.
Enough stardom for my 71 year old ass.
Got great memories of those Famous years.
Songs were lots easier back then.

This man has lost sight of who he is, but the rest of us can see him SO clearly.
