Jeb Bush Jr: Rubios Doubts About Age Of The Earth Head-Scratching (VIDEO)
The son of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) said Tuesday he's confused by Sen. Marco Rubio's (R-FL) claim that the age of the earth is "one of the great mysteries."
"It was a strange question and I guess kind of a head-scratching type of answer," Jeb Bush, Jr. told CNN. "We've got to be a pro-science and pro-technology party."
Bush, Jr. is on the board of the National Immigration Forum, a group that has urged conservatives and Republicans to drop their opposition to comprehensive immigration reform.
As CNN reported, former Gov. Bush is a "close friend and mentor" to Rubio, who is thought by many to be gearing up for a 2016 presidential bid.

(102,359 posts)1. This means two things (at least)...
1. Jeb really wants to run in 2016
2. He really wants to knock out the only other potentially Latino-friendly competition well ahead of time.
Heaven help us if US is so stupid to bring in another Bush--even the comparatively "smart one"

(113,091 posts)2. Jeb always intended a 2016 run - which is why he pushed so hard to get Rubio as Romney VP -
it would make Jeb appear to be pro-Rubio while clearing the 2016 field of someone who he'll need campaigning for him. Looks like he'll now be using George P as his ambassador to Hispanic vote.
