So, what is "big" money today in Presidential Politics? When Nixon ran for re-election in 1972, The "Committee to.....

......Re-elect the President (CREEP) amassed a "huge" war chest of $50,000,000, far more than any previous candidate. The numbers we see today seem to dwarf that kind of dough. But consider this. An equivalent amount in 2024 dollars would be $361,066,910, not chump change for sure, but wasn't the last election billed as a "Billion Dollar Election" between spending on both sided?
