I think it is likely that those who were engaging in hand-wringing believe the media, which attempts to peddle anxiety. I do not discount that others may have a different agenda.

But I do think Fani Willis has put the right people on the hot seat today.

My mother was stuck with my Dad as she had no financial means to leave and in those days and where we lived there was not help. I have always paid my share of everything even when married and made my own money. I always kept cash in case I needed to leave and although I live on my own I still do, not as much and now it is more for if the machines go down etc (they have a few times). I may not hold as much as she did but then I never made that kind of money, it was longer ago.

Just joined, been a lurker for 20 years. I voted Republican until Obama's first term. Didn't like that he didn't fulfill and abstained from voting that year. Couldnt stand at the time for stupid reasons Clinton and couldnt stand Trump so abstained again foolishly. After about a year I loathed Trump and by the end of his term I wont say what I was thinking. I hope Fani can continue her righteous prosecution of this carnival barking clown. Toward the end there, it sounded like plenty of folks in that courtroom were ready to call a halt to the proceedings, especially the lame performance by that last trump-side lawyer. He kept trying to put questions into the record that the judge repeatedly reminded him had already been asked.

I’m not a lawyer, but it seems to me that wasting everybody’s time revisiting issues that had already been thoroughly examined left the judge rather unimpressed. Looked like a big fat fail to me. I actually enjoyed that!
