So is Pat Robertson calling God a liar?

from Right Wing Watch:

Robertson Admits he Blew Election Prediction he Received from God
Submitted by Brian Tashman on Wednesday, 11/21/2012 12:20 pm

In January, televangelist Pat Robertson told 700 Club viewers that in his annual New Year’s “conversation” with God, the Almighty had revealed to him who the next president would be. Up through Election Day, Robertson harshly criticized President Obama and the Democratic Party while praising Mitt Romney. Then, Robertson’s Christian Broadcasting Network predicted a GOP sweep, leaving Robertson utterly confounded by Obama’s victory.

Today, responding to a question from a viewer who wondered why her business is struggling since she thought God told her it would be successful, Robertson admitted that he sometimes misses God’s message. “So many of us miss God, I won’t get into great detail about elections but I sure did miss it, I thought I heard from God, I thought I had heard clearly from God, what happened?” Robertson replied, “You ask God, how did I miss it? Well, we all do and I have a lot of practice.”

Seems like it was a wrong number.

I wonder who Pat's been talking to all these years?

they're taken to a physician and given medication; but let someone call himself a preacher and say he hears the voice of God, and suddenly there will be people who believe every word he says? No matter how outrageous or destructive is words, or even how frequently he's just plain wrong, people will still hang on his every word. Why is that?

I have it on good authority that God applied for a job at her business, but she turned him down for being too old.

You prayed for Romney to win, and Obama won, by a clear margin. Maybe God is giving you a message, and maybe you should listen.

Misinterpretation of God's will is soooo easy.

God: "Pat you're a fuckin' idiot...and your check bounced. Screw you."

Pat: "God told me that Romney is going to win and that *HE* wants you to donate more to me."

I place the whole damn blame for Hurricane Sandy
squarely on the slouching shoulders of Pat Robertson.
Hmm .....where have I heard THAT line before?
Well, never mind.
Obviously, it was only a matter of time
...before God, in her inscrutable wisdom,
got really really really pissed off at Pat Robertson
for having the gall, the sheer arrogance,
of claiming to speak for her ...
just babbling at the mouth,
time and time again.
A direct pipeline to the Almighty!
God did this, God told me. God loves that, God wants this.
Hey, like it was ENOUGH already!
Trust me. Sandy was her way of saying:
Shut the F**K UP Pat!
No one ever said that she was a just God, did they?
Just look around .
You don't need me to tell you that.
And please don’t forget to drop a few coins in the collection plate as you leave.
Oh, in case you’re wondering- no- I’m not a member of the 666 Club.
