Human behavior (especially crowd dynamics) have been studied to death. There’s enough on the subject to probably fill several libraries over with just that subject.

They can’t just up and tell you to do something that’s against your nature and expect to be obeyed, but mobs especially are frighteningly predictable given the proper stressors.

And that’s why the right wing media spends bucks deluxe keeping fox, newsmax, et al open. Because the 24 hour news cycle is spent introducing those stressors non-stop. Social media has turned out to be their wet dream, and it’s on steroids since tsf opened truth social and nazi-boy bought twitter.
