The problem is that most of the people who refused the vaccine and regret that decision can't vote.

(20,851 posts)And now have a false sense of security that feeds a narrative of more and more vaccine refusal. I lived, it was no big deal for me, so maybe my kid shouldn't get the polio vaccine. Soceity is forcing these vaccines on us. Personal choice. I heard on Tictoc . . .

(33,148 posts)For short term political gains the future response to a worse pandemic was sacrificed. BTW, that future pandemic isnt a question of if, its when.

(646 posts)He died of covid after a lung transplant and weeks in ICU. He left 2 small children. Never understood why a health care worker would refuse the vaccine after treating patients in his clinic with covid.

(14,751 posts)There were some reports of people begging for the vaccine on their death beds, way too late for it to do any good, full of regret for not getting it.
There were also reports of people denying that the disease that was literally killing them was covid. They were adamant it didn't exist. It killed them.
So a mixed bag to say the least.
