But one is certainly, in the big picture of the interests of the US, our kids and grandkids, much more likely to leave office with the country in better not worse condition than when he got elected. I often note that I think many Repug voters are one issue folks-- they vote for the guy or gal that agrees with them on their major issue-- may be God, guns, immigration, taxes, whatever. That theory may hold for some on the liberal side as well.
