So, voir dire starts

on Monday (5 days, excluding Monday.) Jeopardy does not attach until voir dire is completed. When the Judge empanels the chosen jurors (they are sworn in at the end of voir dire,) that's when double jeopardy attaches. Thereafter, if something happens and the trial is discarded, the Orange Turd will be free.

Choosing the jury could last days or weeks. Somewhere here they said that about 500 potential jurors will be examined. This little CRIMINAL trial is supposed to last an estimated six weeks. I don't think that includes the voir dire. I don't know, but since his attorneys can't quit without the Court's permission, that leaves firing them on the table.

I am torn up over whether this trial goes on Monday. I'm trying not to get all fired up about it. tRump is trying all sorts of delays (suing the Judge, immunity, etc.) all failing, but you never know. I'll be brutal here, when Melania's Mom died, didn't he try to use that to interfere with some Court process? I don't know why he thinks a delay of 1-3 days amounts to much. Anyway, I started thinking who he would off to get the delay. Why, one of the key witnesses! So, now I'm asking for Guardian Angels to surround them--barring that, a good guard service, armed to the teeth. With Malinois. Or Commander. Maybe we could borrow him.

I'm prone to worry, but THIS TRIAL, this moment in history, is when this vile person can get his comeuppance. I could never be on his jury, because I'd stand up and say, "He needs to be sent to Gitmo," and that would be the end of that. I wish the Jury well. I hope they double the protection, feed them steak or whatever luxury item they want, keep them warm and comfy and listening intently. They need to be kept anonymous forever, but what a service they will perform.

Flee, Donald. It's your only chance. Otherwise, you will be sentenced to prison. Not for defying a gag order, but for trying to mislead the American voters into thinking you're some sort of Saint, when you are really a weasel. And, you have embarrassed your wife, your son...and US. The world is watching, Donald. Everyone wants to hear from the porn star, the sex worker that you paid to keep her mouth shut, and maybe some hints about your package, when we already know. Take your doughy, pale ass and sail away. Maybe the Navy can catch you on the way to whatever 3rd World country has agreed to take you in.

You are not going to be President, or Dictator, of the US. You are going to jail. Something about the Jury system, the honor of being trusted to decide, and the Judge and Prosecutor. All the evidence doesn't look good for you. Flee while you can. You're done here.
