The Espionage Act case would have seen to that. If I had brought home classified with me when I retired, a locked door wouldn't have stopped them, and I'd have been in handcuffs while they tore all my property apart until they found everything that was missing. Afterward, I'd have been thrown into the nearest federal prison to await trial.

The stuff in NY would have been the icing on the cake, as they threw me into Rikers for violating the gag order, or mouthing off to the judge, or ....

This country's system of justice has bent over for him, showing unfair favoritism because it was built into a system that was gamed to favor white conservatives.

That would surprise me. People love to invoke the injustice of Rikers without dismantling it.

If he were a black man, however, I'm not sure his life would have been long enough to commit all those crimes in the first place. He would never have gotten to this point.

It's interesting to look up this phrase, originating most likely in ancient Greece. When Lincoln used it in the Gettysburg Address he no doubt meant it to be inclusive. But from my perspective, as a woman who grew up in a low-income family, it has always seemed out of reach. More like "of the rich white men, by the rich white men, and for the rich white men" ..
