And imanamerican63's comment might have stopped that woman from saying something really awful. That's definitely worthwhile, whether the woman learned anything herself or not. Very good point. If we are speaking the truth and are not harming anyone, then the words are not wasted. For any likeminded bystanders, it is nice for them to know they're not alone and perhaps it may encourage them to be a bit more outspoken as well.
