Biden administration to announce expanded Title IX protections while reversing Trump-era guidance

and not little shit, either. this isnt proclaiming national apple pie day. this is impactful rule making.
a lot of ppl have been screaming about those chemicals since the beginning of our teflon coated world.
i remember my mom getting one of the 1st teflon frying pans. a big 1 she used to make fried chicken.
it was great for a while, but it broke down quickly. she had a home remedy for getting the grime out of the coating that involved boiling water and an onion.

parrot owners have known forever that it kills birds. and that it does, indeed, outgas. it still breaks down w repeated use. knew someone who had used an elec rotisserie a hundred times, til the day it killed her african grey.
we also knew that the workers had a high rate of infertility and fetal deformities, and of course, cancers. weird cancers.

but no one in dc gave a shit til now.

just think what he’ll do if we give him 4 more yrs, and a super majority?

happened or happen overnight, in a blink of the eye. The rule making process is rigorous and quite lengthy, involving significant opportunity for public input and review. Not to mention the time involved in deliberating these steps and actually writing proposed and final rules.

What does that mean? A lot of these things have been on the agenda and in the works since the first few months if not day 1 of the Biden administration. Point is, these aren’t just plays being made simply because its an election year.

So, yeah, it’s important to roll things out and show progress before the election. But don’t let anyone fool you. They are not being done simply because there’s an election coming up.

...goes back to the Reagan years. And Schlosser pointed out how the stagnant minimum wage makes affordable food nearly impossible without competitive markets for those needing it most.

I wonder about basing the federal minimum wage on the cost of living. With states so varied in cost of living, minimum wage ought to coincide with it. That is if we even care about a living wage anymore.
