From Big Ed's show, tonight.
This is a 10-20 year deal, folks, and it's a rumblin' down them tracks plenty quick!

govern where?
He needs to stick to running campaigns because he sure sucks at policy.

This Administration and certain Democrats are going to make sure of it. Last time the Republicans rejected the Grand Bargain.
This time, looks like they're going to do whatever they can to sweeten the deal.
As I said in another thread, when the President's Senior Advisor (Plouffe) says Medicare & Medicaid need to be cut, there's no walking away from the bargaining table with the GOP where it's not cut.
It astounds me that they would be this open about it.

I think both sides are talking a good game about being open to entitlement reform (Democrats) and being to open to tax increases (Republicans).
Call me cynical, but it just creates the illusion of bipartisanship and compromise so when things go wrong, both sides can point the finger at each other and claim they were being reasonable in the face of the other side's intransigence I think both sides are covertly preparing over the cliff and using this as a political issue at the expense of the economy.
