It seems the only card the GOP has to play is threaten to destroy the country...

If they don't get their way.
They are trying to scare everyone into passing all their proposals.

If the filibuster rule is changed we'll let the country go over the fiscal cliff.
If taxes are raised we'll let the country go over the fiscal cliff.
If Obama care isn't cut we'll let the country go over the fiscal cliff.
If entitlements aren't cut we'll let the country go over the fiscal cliff.

Of course going over the fiscal cliff means all taxes are raised and military budget is cut.
Both are worse for the GOP than for the Democrats.

They've turned it all into a big game of chicken.
Who will blink first?
The Democrats have eyewash while the Republicans are facing a dry wind.

They can only do this until January 1 because then we will either hit the cliff or not.
They are desperate and only have a month to get what they want.
I sure hope Obama takes advantage of this to get what HE wants instead.

Of course this assumes the world doesn't end on December 21.
If it does, besides all these problems, our Chistmas shopping will go to waste too.
