A lot of people will vote for any Republican in any race, regardless of the candidates or circumstances. They're not all Trump diehards, as many seem to believe.

And a lot of people who will ultimately vote for Trump are largely apolitical and/or don't have much knowledge of the candidates or their political positions.

I travel lots and talk to lots of people. I'll probe people to see if politics and current events interest them because I like discussing such things. It's a rare treat to find someone who does.
