I know I can be slow. But I just realized that tfg's case to the SCOTUS would automatically

make him immune from everything is akin to making him the dictator of the US. He wouldn't have to set up a bunch of loyalists to support him. Just do like Putin does. I guess I had thought it had something to do with tfg's previous trials, (well it does) but gaining full control where you can throw your opponents out of windows is what he wants and that is what he will get if this passes.

It is really a terrifying thing to think about. All of a sudden our democratic republic turns into a dictatorship. And I do not think these MAGA goons have any idea that it could happen

If SCOTUS gave Trump full immunity that would extend to Biden too. However, Biden wouldn’t use that immunity to remain in power even if it meant Trump would be inaugurated. Were too comity, bipartisanship, rule of law, democratic principles, etc to use that tool even if not doing so meant our destruction And another Trump presidency would mean just that.

Then my suggestion to Biden would be for him to send out Seal Team 6 (or whoever would be appropriate) to assassinate TFG. Then Biden could retire, knowing that the US is safe from the threat of a Trump dictatorship.

Bonus - we'd finally get our first woman as President!

Just kidding of course, but if the President is above the law, Biden could do it without any legal repercussions. SCOTUS needs to consider that while they are pondering if they can get TFG off the hook.

I mean, it would mean that Biden could have him thrown in a hole somewhere, or out a window, and there should be no crime?

Oh, wait. I'm pretty sure they mean only Republican presidents have absolute immunity. And actually not ALL Republicans...only the twice-impeached, lying, obese, orange-hued, seditionist (your own line of adjectives here) ones.

because, sooner or later, SCOTUS would become irrelevant. If the orange Caligula ever regains power, why would he need a SCOTUS to approve or uphold any any action he takes. And if any SCOTUS member objects, there is always Seal Team 6.

But I think they are just wasting time. They will not announce ruling until August, kick it back down to DC. Thus the clock is run out until the election.

Give tRump mostly everything he needs. If Biden wins it will go away, if tRump wins they will then rule immunity.

Putin has had thrown out of windows, poisoned, etc. It’s those “close to him” more and more. I’m sure they never thought they would criticize him at one point but when a dictator starts interfering with your business or money, friends or family it makes it hard to keep quiet.
Republicans better “get woke” before they are put through the meat grinder of dictatorship.

He can't very well be a dictator if he's again an election loser, which if looking more and more like what's going to happen.

Also it's highly unlikely SCOTUS will grant immunity as it would give the sitting president immunity...and that would be Joe Biden.
