Even in the minority, Democrats do not need to worry about the proposed reform of the filibuster rule.
Democratic policies are VASTLY more popular than Republican policies. The increased public scrutiny that will come with a living breathing TALKING filibuster will inevitably push public opinion in favor of the substance of any filibuster that Democrats might launch.
Fear not, oh Democrats, for unto you a Gift is Given!

(3,284 posts)My question is: If someone was forced to really filibuster, would the corporate media consider it news and actually follow the proceedings as a on going story? Would it turn into a "nothing to see here, move along" meme? If the changes are made it will be interesting to watch the media reaction.
