Can drumpf change his plea?

I have to admit, I'm not paying as much attention to the trial as I might, but the idle thought occurred to me that if drumpf changed his plea to guilty, could he get out of doing jail time? I WANT to see him rot in jail, so I hope the answer is no. But knowing how deferential the courts have seemed to be toward him, a guilty plea seems like an easy way out.

I'm guessing he can work a deal up until the jury comes back (numerous law shows). Had he pled down to a misdemeanor, he'd walk away. But, nooooo, he has to show us how smart he is! He's about to become a Felon! That's how smart he is!

I hope the trial exposes the corruption in the Trump DOJ, and ends (for the second time) the rehabilitation of Bill Barr.

TFG should have been tried directly for his Federal crimes.

I don’t know that would be received out there in Republicanland, though. “Well, he DID plead guilty to a felony….”

He's not going to plea bargain. 100 percent certain. People seem to think he's lost the case already when all that has happened are opening statements and the testimony of one witness who hasn't yet been cross-examined. It's a jury trial and there are no sure thing jury trials. And, it will be years before this trial and the appeals that will follow are completed.
