(475 posts)"he may be a man of the people but he is also a man" makes it sound like "oh he's a male men can't control the urge to cheat or hump other women so we can't trust them".

(535 posts)They choose not to control it.
Or do you contend that murderers, rapists, and pedophiles cannot control it.
Either we control our decisions and actions or don't. You can't have it both ways.

It's a two-way street. Stop placing the blame on one side of the equation.

(2,842 posts)are always more sexually aggressive than females.
It's interesting to me that comparing societies, it's a fact that females in Society A(say) are more sexually agressive than males in Society B(say) but always males in the same society are more sexually aggressive than the females.
We should not overlook this fact and those in the field should not stop looking for an exception and should not stop analyzing their methodology and definitions to see if they've made an error, but for now, these seem to be the facts.

(95,337 posts)Look, I'm a woman and I know the bullshit that women put up with from Men.
But I'm also smart enough to recognize that this can be a 2-way street. Unless she has actually hardcore proof I don't believe a word this woman is saying. IF he really was harassing her why did she wait 7 years to say anything about it?
And let's face it there are hundreds of people who can do Bill Clinton impersonations. For all we know someone got her number and played a joke on her.

(95,337 posts)It's like accusing me of being a cheater because I happened to cheat on a 2nd grade spelling test.
Flowers, however, tends to rear her head every couple of years and spews off about Clinton because it's the only way the press will write about her.

(95,337 posts)This woman has been an attention whore since her name first came into spotlight.
My guess is all the royalties she was making from her association to Bill Clinton have dried up so she comes out to the NY Daily News (isn't that the paper owned by Rupert Murdoch?) and we assume she's telling us the truth.
My guess is that some Bill Clinton impersonator probably called her as a joke.

Yep, twenty years later, that thar's a right compellin analysis of the 1992 campaign: Flowers helped make Clinton snag a household name!
'... The .. cabaret singer .. claims that the former President called her up in 2005 ... I said, No you cant come over here, she continued. He said, Ill put on a hoodie and Ill jog up there ... ...'
Thanks for sharin, Gennifer: it shore do sounds to me like you is makin a desperate grab for attention, but I knows I has sometimes been wrong befores. Still, I cain't see much reason to give a rat's ass about an alleged phone call seven years ago

(95,337 posts)I mean his voice is very commonly impersonated. Someone probably thought it would be a joke to make the call.

I have an aunt who has done the same with her ex. I see none of the reaction in her I would expect to see if they were doing anything more than talking.

Somewhere back in his doggin' days, the Bubba must've done something to trigger this woman's obsessive-compulsive disorder. But in all likelihood, whatever it was he did, it didn't involve bumpin uglies.

(25,406 posts)People need to compartmentalize. Bill Clinton was a master politician and probably the best President of my lifetime. He was and perhaps still is something of a horndog. One has very little to do with the other. JFK was even more of a horndog. And more recently, Anthony Weiner was an accomplished Congressman, and the fact that he liked to tweet his cock does not negate this.
If idle chatter about Clinton's horniness offends anyone, by all means hide this thread. But nobody is taking away from the fact that he was an excellent President.
