If the rethugs are just trying to manipulate the President's pick for SoS I hope they fail.
At first I thought this might be Obama baiting the rethugs with Rice and then nominate Kerry because it would be easier to confirm. But right now Obama should not nominate Kerry for anything. Put Rice in even if it ends up as a rescission pick. Find someone that can beat Brown thats a dem then officially nominate Kerry.
And Obama should not be meeting with romney, he is dead weight and as nothing to offer. The rethugs hate him so this will not be some bipartisan thing.
Grrrrrr! I'm just getting sick with this fake Benghazi hysteria! The rethugs lost the election! They need to get over it. Elections have consequences. The rethug party is not in power no matter how much they think, jeez, whine grow up already!

(11,605 posts)Apparently a lot of winning presidential candidates have done this, dating back to FDR.
JFK had lunch with Nixon in 1960 after the election and they joked that they didn't know who really won.
Bush met briefly with Gore in 2000 after the election was finally decided. I don't know if he ever met with Kerry after 2004.

I think Obama should give each one a post.
