I found this video of my hood on youtube. Take notice of the fence at the 35 sec mark - the house boats had to clear that fence to get where they ended up
Found this one too showing what happened to the house boats that didn't become unmoored.

(3,871 posts)2. Found many videos of Manasquan, NJ, totally destroyed with over 70 homes due to be demolished. My
ex-husband owned a bar and restaurant on First Ave. and the water damage to the inside is heartbreaking. He died about two weeks ago (11/13) and in a way I'm so glad he did not see this. It would have broken his heart.
