(22,974 posts)she is.
As someone who has overseas in-laws and friends, I'm so happy to be proud of our First Family again. I was embarrassed to be an American during the criminal Bush oil cabal illegal reign.
so real.

(54,027 posts)I need to talk to my GF and make her get up some more ambition. I'd like to be First Lady some day. Or, I dunno, First Husband or whatever it'd be called.
Hmmm, I'd probably have to knuckle under to that whole marriage thing, too. Maybe I should do some more thinking.

(34,412 posts)His white boots and effervescent personality are awesome. The First Lady isn't too bad either.
I am so glad & grateful that MB will be FLOTUS for the next 4 years instead of that dreadful Queen Ann. I still think of how presumptious she was on Election Night with that bad-prom party hair she was sporting. "It's our turn", indeed. Ha ha, Queen Ann. Some things are just not for sale, and thankfully one of them is the support of the American people.

(50,560 posts)In 2017 our First Lady will be in need of a new challenge. I can totally see her as a supermodel.
She displays a (very!) healthy body image. She is very beautiful. She could represent any good cause...and the way she wears clothes, she could cut a head hole in a dry cleaning bag and make it look good on her.

(11,816 posts)I'd love a suit like that, but sadly, you need darker skin to carry it off that shade of gold.
She always looks absolutely appropriate - not dowdy or too edgy - just right for our First Lady.

(125 posts)Ach! Its too darn early! Believe me, depsite my progressive views I love celebrating a tradition Christmas, complete with advent and midnight mass and not setting up the tree til the last minute.
And to me its just too early! Getting earlier every year too. 10 years ago nobody ate thanksgiving dinner by the Christmas tree. This year I saw many trees set up a week BEFORE thanksgiving!
