At least six times in the last few days I've heard them use phrases like "body blow", "a real Upper cut to the jaw", "a slap in the face", "Giving her a total beat down" while describing the attacks on her by The Republicans. The women correspondents are the worst, namely Carol Costello (CNN) and Kelly O'Donnell (MSNBC), but Howie Kurtz used the "beat down" expression this morning. So, it appears that violent language is acceptable to use against the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, and we wonder why women are being raped.
