No matter how easy it looks like Newt, Mittens, and Santorum would make this in any prior election, don't believe it.
We are going to be blasted with a wall of money on every tv, radio, website, msm venue 24-7 and if you think it isn't
likely to prevail, I disagree.
This is going to be a fight and a half, no joke.

(45,319 posts)than good. Endless cash did not help Meg Whitman nor Fiorino in CA, and they spent and out spent like mad.
Think it through. If all it took to sell a product was lots of ads, no product would fail. Is it true that all films that get pushed with huge marketing make lots of of money? Nope. Do people who hate eggs suddenly like them if there are enough egg ads? Nope.
Fact is, too much marketing is as harmful as too little. This theory that candidates with the most money always win is false, and so is the theory that lots of ads means sure success for a product or person.

If you mean that advertising is not effective, I wish I agreed. How useful depends on the message and the reciever, but it should not be dismissed so lightly.
Good point about Carly Fiorina and Meg Whitman though!

(14,881 posts)jump start the economy. Spend your money on your circular firing squad, assholes. Spend Billions and Billions on ads taking each other out. Make the agencies -- and their creative workers -- rich. Obama will face a swiss cheese candidate pre-decimated by ads.
