"SNIP.........................................

Think we’ll get to see President Obama’s stellar dance moves again? After online outrage over rapper Psy’s anti-American performances in 2002 and 2004 surfaced, it appears the YouTube sensation will still be performing at the White House as scheduled. Psy issued an apology for the rap on Friday.

1. I don't know what Psy said but this is a smart move for Obama.

Nobody, but nobody is prouder of him than korean americans. I'm from Canada and I know how proud I am when Canadians do well in the USA. This just solidifies Obama's respect for the multi-hued country that the USA is. A true world-nation.

2. He said something stupid ten years ago and recently fully recognized it as such

There was a rather effusive apology, and it was not the "I'm sorry you walked into my verbal fist" type, and so on.

The whole furore was pretty much a conveniently manufactured thing that started after O'Reilly started ranting about this weird North Korean(sic) that people were suddenly interested in.

8. First I heard that it happened 10 years ago. That's important. Esp. since he apologized.

What he said was horrible. If he still felt that way he shouldn't be included in a White House performance.

9. Psy was singing a song written by someone else.

He did not write those lyrics.

He sang them with the group who did write the song. The performance was in response to two young Korean girls being run over by a tank driven by a US serviceman.

The lyrics were over the top, yes, but I can imagine that a lot of people in the US would not be reasonable if that sort of tragedy were to happen here.

Besides, any bruhaha started my Billo deserves to be ignored.
