Why Doesn't President Obama Go To Each Repug Congressional District And Cut Programs & $'s That...

Repug Senator & Congressmen/Congresswomen promote that they are bringing to their respective States and Districts. Use these cuts as excessive spending that goes on that could be cut and offer these up as spending cuts to the Repugs. This is the type of pork that the Repugs always complain about - but take advantage of so they can tout it in their States and Districts so they can be re-elected.

The Repugs want offsetting spending cuts for the tax revenue we need to raise - so let them put their money where their mouths are and cut the stuff that they rely on. Make it hurt for them. Make them share in this so-called shared sacrifice. Let's see what they do then.

I know that they will probably cry that these spending cuts don't do much to offset the raise in revenue we need to get from those in the top tier - but they are spending cuts no less.

Let's see what they say then.

Doesn't he have the right to put out a plan where he suggests spending cuts? These would be spending cuts.

No mention of suggesting them as a budget proposal, because if that is what you meant then it would not look good for the President to suggest cutting anything correct? You did imply that he could defacto cut programs as he saw fit in republican districts.

and that is what I meant. And why wouldn't it "not look good for the President" to suggest to cut anything? The Repugs are pushing him to suggest cuts. These would be suggested cuts.

I just want to see what the Repugs would do if the suggested cuts might cause them some problems.

It's ok when the suggested cuts hurt the poor, old, sick, students and the middle class. However, when suggested cuts seem to hit them - they balk.

I just want to see how far they are willing to go - in order to achieve this balance that they say they are looking for.

I'm thinking though - that we'll see some hypocrisy.
