The Republican-majority Michigan legislature today approved a so-called "right-to-work" law that would significantly reduce the power of organized labor in that state. The legislation prohibits unions from collecting dues from nonunion employees.
Fox has been aggressively defending this "right-to-work" law, falsely claiming it will benefit workers and the state economy and touting it as a "victory for capitalism." The network continues to defend this type of legislation despite the fact that "right-to-work" laws have had a significant and negative effect on state economies, employment, and employee compensation.
Here, Media Matters looks at some of the worst anti-union rhetoric from Fox.

And if anyone thinks that the Steve Crowder pushed violence at the hands of the unions video being sent around the net today isn't part of this bullshit, then I've got a bridge and all that... Also, check out what KOS is reporting Breitbart and Fox are up to today as well:

(26,624 posts)1. Perfect opportunity for the Democratic Party to showcase our party platform plank.
Democrats believe that the right to organize and collectively bargain is a fundamental American value; every American should have a voice on the job and a chance to negotiate for a fair days pay after a hard days work. We will continue to fight for the right of all workers to organize and join a union. Unions helped build the greatest middle class the world has ever known. Their work resulted in the 40-hour workweek and weekends, paid leave and pensions, the minimum wage and health insurance, and Social Security and Medicare the cornerstones of middle class security. We will fight for labor laws that provide a fair process for workers to choose union representation, that facilitate the collective bargaining process, and that strengthen remedies for violations of the law. We will fight for collective bargaining rights for police officers, nurses, firefighters, emergency medical technicians, teachers, and other public sector workers jobs that are a proven path to the middle class for millions of Americans. We will continue to vigorously oppose Right to Work and paycheck protection efforts, and so-called Save our Secret Ballot measures whenever they are proposed.

It would be sweet to see them take this issue on full-throttle.

Fox is still in business for a reason: lots of people are dumb.
