"MITT! MITT! MITT!"- Romney trucking Mormon youth into SC to drum up fake "momentum"

Busing In Mormon Students?

Not a great sign for Romney in South Carolina.

GREENVILLE, South Carolina--Outside Tommy's Ham House here this morning--where Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich scheduled back-to-back visits--a boisterous crowd of young, fresh-faced supporters was waving Romney signs and chanting, "MITT! MITT! MITT!"

But this wasn't a grassroots youth movement rooted at the University of South Carolina. No, many of the students cheering on the candidate told BuzzFeed they were actually BYU students and young Mormons from D.C. and Virginia who traveled to the Palmetto State to give their coreligionist's presidential effort a much-needed jolt of energy.

Kat Wardle, a 23-year-old BYU student who is spending the semester in Washington, D.C., said she and several young Latter-Day Saints have been following Romney around the state, playing the role of cheerleaders at various campaign stops.

Romney trucking Mormon youth into SC to drum up fake "momentum"
By John Aravosis on 1/21/2012 01:56:00 PM

Get ready for a lot more of this. It's what the Mormons did during Prop 8 in California as well. In CA, they single-handedly turned a losing initiative to take marriage rights away from gay couples into a winner by trucking in a gazillion volunteers and then dropping $20 million into the campaign - and voila, civil rights were repealed. Prepare for a lot more surreptitious Mormon meddling the further Romney goes.

Californians Against Hate

there is more...

Mitt Romney Donated HOW MUCH Money to Help Pass Prop 8?!

A pretty explosive ABC News investigation suggests that Mitt Romney has donated more than $25 MILLION of his sizable fortune to the Mormon Church, and made massive contributions from Bain Capitol during his tenure as CEO.

.................................

Romney has always been a major donor to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which requires that members “tithe,” or give 10 percent of their income to the church. His family charity, called the Tyler Foundation, has given more than $4 million to the church in the past five years, including $1.8 million in 2008 and $600,000 in 2009. But because Romney, whose fortune has been estimated at $250 million, has never released his personal tax returns, the full extent of his giving has never been public.

1. But we are supposed to not consider his religion

Sorry, I do consider his religion. It's homophobic, anti-choice, and most members march in lock-step. I consider that stuff because it scares the shit out of me that someone whose identity is tied so closely to thinking like this could reside in the White House. Utah's not enough, now they want all 50.

What do we expect? My horror is about the missing precent votes in Iowa. If they do this to their own, what the hell can Dems expect in November? And the media is virtually silent on the issue. They are the true GOP co-consiprators.
