We’re shocked, shocked that bars serve drinks to drunks

We’re shocked, shocked that bars serve drinks to drunks

One small part of the Dallas Cowboys car-crash tragedy struck me as darkly comical.

It was when somber TV reporters stood in front of club Privae and gravely intoned, “Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission agents will now investigate whether club patrons were overserved that night.”

Well, we don’t know how much the Cowboy players drank. But wow. Bars possibly serving drinks to drunks? Ya think?

It may be against the law, but most every night in most every bar in town, people who are drunk get served more drinks. And it’s just laughable to pretend otherwise.

i got drunk & rode like an idiot hundreds if not thousands of times.

Jails & wrecks never slowed me down, till last year.

Now i will not goto an event where there is booze (music fests) & avoid even being out after dark or esp on a Fri or Sat night.

Yeah, she is going to lose her job and go to jail by serving drunks.

Make all the assumptions you want but responsible bartenders know better than you think.

level necessary for being arrested on a DUI.

The first standard is fairly high. You have to be a sloshed, loud, falling down drunk to be refused service in most bars.

The second standard is fairly low. Some people would ping the breath test on two or three beers.

There is a gulf between those standards.
