Lieberman should have been vice president.

And then possibly could have run for POTUS in 2008.

I'm not saying that he could have won, but I bet John McCain wouldn't have run against him.

because until 911 and the Iraq war, I never knew him as a neoliberal. Of course, I did not know anything about him at all really, but in 2000 I had nothing against him. It seemed to me that getting thumped in the 2004 primary where he sorta expected to be the front-runner made him bitter and made him turn more to the right out of spite, and so did losing in the primary in 2006.
