This was a weird fad in the 19th century Victorian era. It's kind of like the original photoshop I guess and they aren't really headless..

(1,663 posts)During Sandy I caught up on reading and read some pieces by Nelly Bly I had downloaded. A very strange time period. I wonder if there was some superstitious belief behind this or just done for fun.

(16,191 posts)It used to require real skill and patience in the darkroom to pull these kinds of shots off. Photoshop just made it easier.
