I hate the current disdain for those less fortunate that is coming from the right

and that is being reinforced by M$M ...

Our family is really struggling financially this year, coming off a couple of years running with some health issues, frozen wages and costly household damages due to flooding. But, we are doing better than others and can be thankful that all the adults in our family are currently healthy (knock on wood) and employed (double knock!) and that we have a roof over our heads. I wish the same for everyone and send my thoughts and concern for those who don't.

Merry Christmas and peace to you and yours as we welcome in 2013!

The GOPers have always disdained the less fortunate; they've just become more overt about it recently. Faux "News" and other hate media have magnified the tendency and sought to justify it. But it's always been there.

But I think it's relatively new that the top repigs decided to unfurl their true beliefs about the rest of us. In their desperation to build an army of slackjawed idiots, they've endlessly taught ignorance and hatred among ±20-30% of the population.

Many of that group are falling on hard times like the rest of us, and likely when they mention it to fellow cons they get the usual "SHUT UP!" even from fellow churchgoers. But as time goes on and they all end up with less, if anything, thanks to the cancervative policies they've supported, some, perhaps many, will finally realize they've been played as fools.

Gotta hope, anyway.
