Not unusual to appoint a Republican. Clinton had Cohen.

My impression of Hagel is that he is a crook.

Of course hiring a repuke helps prove a dem is as pro-MIC as any repuke.

There are plenty of qualified Dems for these positions. Don't understand why we have to continue to look to the right.

and then got elected to the United States Senate. Doesn't sound at all crooked to me.
