When General Discussion/LBN posts on news regarding shootings are moved to the Gun Forum. It's a huge problem in America and it does need to be discussed (I have a feeling that the pro-gunners are the ones that alert on these posts so they're hidden from the general DU population). People aren't thinking "Oh, there might be a bad guy with a gun today where I'm going." they're thinking about school, Christmas shopping, looking forward to movies and plays, etc etc.

While my kids are at school. I cannot even imagine the grief and trauma everyone involved is experiencing (and will continue to experience for the rest of their lives).

Here, our city has an ordinance that prevents open carry, so our city is being sued because most of us think it's not necessary to walk around with six shooters and more strapped to ones sides. I can't stop crying on this one. Looking at those kids, who made it safely out, and what they must be thinking. How do they get over this?? And to those parents, friends, and loved ones who lost loved ones including their child -- my , our hearts and prayers are with you.
