Top Ten Conservative Idiots Week 2 - Update
Hello just an update as promised will still be doing 3 more of these just to gauge reaction. However I was told to do it on Monday rather than Friday (tradition I believe?). The next update will be on Monday December 17th!
Here is a quick preview of Monday's # 4:
4. "Right to Work" Legislation right up there with the Ministry of Truth...
“Right to Work” is the biggest GOP misnomyer, taking a page right out of Orwell’s 1984. In one of the biggest ungood moves for unions Michigan became the 24th state in the union to enact a right to work law.
Right to Work makes it onto the list even thought it’s not a person, so technically it can't be an idiot. However it certainly is an idiotic conservative idea which will cost us for years to come. As more and more states enact right to work laws we lose many years of progress in creating healthy workplace conditions.
Right to work laws allows employees in union workplaces to opt out of paying dues and fees, but still enjoy all of the benefits enacted by union actions. And for those of us in the younger generations who don’t know here is a quick list of things unions gave us
2. Unions gave us fair wages and income equality.
3. Unions help end child labor.
4. Unions won employees based helath coverage.
5. Unions gave us the Family and Medical Leave Act.
