The women and men who choose to teach as a profession, are among the most honorable of us. They should be revered not vilified.

My father taught public high school for 39 years. My mother taught junior high, high school, community college, and college. I know their level of commitment and dedication. They would have taken care of their students too.

That is the courage of a soldier. Once again, American teachers proved that they have the fortitude and bravery of good soldiers. We have the best teachers in the world, and we treat them like dirt.

The best and brightest -- America's teachers.

and everytime there was anything loud in the hallway I was across the room to the door in seconds flat.

Was a bad day to be a teacher. Yes. Bad to be a paramedic or a cop too.

Just a very bad day.

What do we REALLY feel about teachers?

Maybe we should make up our fucking minds.

teachers. They are the ones who show you the way to the truth. There is no more noble calling than to pass the knowledge and wisdom of humanity to the next generation."

In the Eastern tradition, teachers are so highly venerated that the student greets them by touching their feet and presenting them with offerings.

This level of respect for teachers used to exist in the West. Sadly, rampant materialism has largely effaced the sacred bond between teacher and pupil.

I've been studying for finals all day and didn't even hear about this til just now....This is heartbreaking beyond words...I'm seeing people calling for gun control, attack the nra, yadaya....Never mind that now, its too damn soon....Think about those children who are dead, innocent little kids, had their entire lives ahead of them.

The teachers prevented even more deaths, God bless them....But to just think about those kids that didn't make it. Just going to school like any other day.

And right before the holidays! Those kids were cheerfully anticipating the holidays, writing letters to santa...And some fucking maniac just....

Forgive me for rambling and probably not making any sense, I'm just overcome, overwhelmed...oh God help us all, the parents! Horrible horrible horrible...I can't even think.

horrible beyond comprehension. how can one even describe this.
