We need to bring the troops home to protect us in our country.

I find a great irony in the fact that the federal government spends billions of dollars supporting approximately 1,000 military bases around the world “protecting us in a war on terror,” while at the same time in our own country children have no protection against an act of terrorism in a kindergarten classroom. And since the likelihood of any serious discussion about the fact that any nut-job can legally purchase weapons and ammunition that are designed solely for the purpose of killing as many people as quickly as possible will never make it to the floor of the House of Representatives, if we are really serious about preventing acts of terrorism, then to protect our most vulnerable, I suggest we bring the 51,000 military personnel home from Japan, the 48,000 from Germany, the 11,000 from Italy and the 9,000 home from England and assign armed patrols at checkpoints at every school in this country.
