on ANY news this early after such a crisis. There's a crazy rush to put stuff into print (or online) before much is known.

However what was there was low in number and not consistent with what a survivalist/prepper would have.

- One AR format rifle in 223
- One unknown rifle
- One Glock of unknown caliber
- One Sig Sauer of unknown caliber
- Two historical rifles (Henry and Lee-Enfield)
- One shotgun (unknown type and gauge)

That is not a prepper list, not even close.

No .22LR
No duplicates/spares
No long range rifle
Lack of common calibers

and that is just for starters.

Draw your conclusions.

It was reported that Ryan Lanza was the shooter too. I think reserving judgment is the better course. You may be absolutely right, but I wouldn't base it on what's being reported right now.

It also claims:

Crazed killer Adam Lanza was a ‘ticking time bomb’ who suffered from Asperger’s syndrome and was painfully shy and awkward, former classmates said yesterday.

Last night, a troubling portrait began to emerge of the ‘Goth’ loner, who dressed all in black and was obsessed with video games.

Her weapons choices certainly do not support that conclusions

I just recently saw that show for the first time. Scared the shit out me. Those are some serious freaks. Hopefully it is as fake as other reality TV shows.

will support any of this.

Last night it also emerged Nancy was a member of the Doomsday Preppers movement, which believes people should prepare for end of the world.
Her former sister-in-law Marsha said she had turned her home ‘into a fortress’. She added: ‘Nancy had a survivalist philosophy which is why she was stockpiling guns. She had them for defense.
‘She was stockpiling food. She grew up on a farm in New Hampshire. She was skilled with guns. We talked about preppers and preparing for the economy collapsing.’

Stockpiling food, water, medical supplies etc. makes sense from the "prepper" mentality. But it's hard to imagine a scenario where one person could hold off the unwashed hordes for very long, one gun at a time.

"Mentality" is the operative concept here.

Lanza's aunt, Marsha Lanza, said her nephew was raised by kind, nurturing parents who would not have hesitated to seek mental help for him if he needed it.

Sources close to the investigation also revealed last night that Nancy had recently stopped hosting monthly get-togethers for neighbors in order to look after her increasingly troubled

A relative to the family said that Adam Lanza was ‘obviously not well,’ adding that he often seemed troubled. They described Nancy as being rigid and at times, overbearing
.

Last night it also emerged Nancy was a member of the Doomsday Preppers movement, which believes people should prepare for end of the world.

Was she afraid people were going after her "stockpile" when "the end is near"?

Thanks Joe the Revelator
