in Anchorage today. Almost 1,000 people took the plunge, with the water temperature freezing (they cut the hole through the ice yesterday with a chain saw and had to skim the ice off this morning) and the outside temperature right around 5. One couple even had their wedding there before diving in in their gown and tux. (We missed it unfortunately.) All told, they raised almost half a million dollars for the Alaska special athletes. I'm proud of these people.
