No elected official wants a reel on their pro-gun statements after this. They at least understand the impropriety of it, the utter lack of what the Greeks called kairos. But the internet gun fanatics don't understand - they're even on this board touting their "powerful" gun collections and imploring people to ask them questions about guns so we can have a "conversation" with these fuckwits. Yes, they're that lacking in basic recognition of the situation that they think this is just a regular old time for yapping about their arsenals and talking about how tough they are. That's how deluded they've been by the gun manufacturers: they can't even sense basic propriety, as we bury 20 children murdered with their favorite murder-machine (oh, but they don't like "synthetic stocks," and blah blah blah...that's the speed of their sociopathic discourse).

The assault weapons ban didn't work? We agree. It was far too weak and watered down to please these fucking jerks. We need legislation that will make them literally cry in rage, and we need to simply enforce our public health policy on their stupidity. End of "national conversation." Some people are not worth conversing with.
