Speed limit signs should be torn down

After all, speeding is an epidemic in this country and enforcement of the law has done next to nothing to stem the behavior.

When speeding is outlawed, only outlaws will speed.

NRA members, how'm I doing?

I'll remove the limiter once those pesky speed limit signs are gone.

Inertia kills people. Its the same with guns, or more specifically, bullets which have intertia. For cars, the people have inertia, which carrier them into the other parts of the car. Deceleration ensues.

So blame it all on Newton's laws

Cars have other purposes than to kill. They have the potential in the wrong hands, but that's not what they're built for, usually. A few exceptions, of course:

It was to provide an example of the type of thinking seen in many anti-gun control arguments: that since there are too many guns and gun owners to ever hope to enforce a law restricting their ownership, we may as well shrug our shoulders in defeat about creating such laws to begin with.

They must agree to apply that reasoning in other circumstances as well or admit they simply have a problem with authority.

Cars and guns, they are American obsessions. But, you got that.

And I'm going to assume that the vast majority of drivers on the road at any given time will give speed limit signs some heed, at least to limit themselves to only 5-10 MPH over what's posted.

Your analogy fails.

And on any other stretch, you'd better be doing a minimum of 10mph over the limit if you don't want to be tailgated and flipped off.

The point being, the majority of drivers are candidates for speeding tickets at any given time, yet states persist in posting limits.

Anyone going faster than the posted 55 (or whatever) on the Interstate?

Well, they are breaking the law, which is almost everyone.

Only law-abiding citizens should own firearms, which would rule out most everyone.
